These are the procedures to remove the coloring on teeth that are darker than usual due to the make-up of enamel and dentin.

The materials used during teeth whitening are for professional use and are made with personally prepared drugs after the dentist’s examination.

Afterwards the removing of the stains occurring on the teeth due to food residues, tea – coffee – cigarette useage and brushing habits, and the teeth and plaque cleaning , teeth are ready to be whitened at the clinic.

– Bleaching process is applied in 2 ways:

Home bleaching is the method you will perform yourself with the guidance and instructions of your dentist. A personalized whitening plate is prepared with the measurement taken from the patient’s mouth.

The bleaching gels, which are put into the bleaching plate specially prepared for the patient, are applied in the time interval recommended by the physician and according to the whitening amount of the teeth.

It may take 7-10 days to achieve the desired result.

Office bleaching is the method used by dentist at the clinic  in cases where whitening is desired to be fast.

Gums are isolated and medication is applied on the teeth and blue light used in beam fillers is applied on them to increase the effectiveness of the drug. When the desired whiteness is achieved after repeated sessions, the process is ended. However, recent research recommends that the home type teeth whitening method should be continued as a support after office-type teeth whitening.
